Exporting Projects and Transactions

Your Ebyline account contains a lot of information about your projects: the list rail shows all of your projects (both current projects and closed projects in custom groups) and the transactions page shows all of your completed projects. To enable you to easily access this information for use outside of the Ebyline platform , whether that is adding the information into your budget or your editorial calendar, you can export the data into a CSV spreadsheet file.

 

Exporting project data

Project data is exported through the list rail's Options menu, and the exported CSV file will contain information about the projects shown in the list. The list is generated by clicking on any of the Project folders, and can be filtered by entering a keyword into the Search field directly above the list.

 

To export all of your projects:

  1. Select the "Projects" folder
  2. Click the Options menu
  3. Select "Export to CSV"

To export a select group of projects:

  1. Select the "Projects" folder or a subfolder, such as "Assignments"
  2. To see only projects from a particular freelancer or to a particular editor - or items with a particular keyword in the title, enter the name or other keyword into the Search field
  3. Once you have the list of projects you want to export, click on the Options menu
  4. Select "Export to CSV"

Exporting transaction data

Transaction data is exported through the "Export to CSV" button on the Transactions page, and the exported CSV file will contain information about the transactions shown on the page. The default view shows all transactions for the current month, and can be changed using the drop down menus or filtered by entering a keyword into the Search field to the right of the drop down menus.

 

To export the current month's transactions:

  1. Select the "Transactions" folder
  2. On the transactions page, click the "Export to CSV" button

To export transactions for different time periods, or filtered by keyword:

  1. Select the "Transactions" folder
  2. On the transactions page, use the drop down menus to select different timeframes, such as all transactions, or those for a particular month, year, or during a custom timeframe
  3. To see only projects from a particular editor or freelancer, or items with a particular keyword in the title, enter the name or other keyword into the Search field
  4. Once you have the list of transactions you want to export, click on the "Export to CSV" button
