Working with Pitch Board Proposals and Replies

Once your Pitch Board Proposal has been created and posted, you should begin to see replies within 24-48 hours. Here's how to review and work with the freelancers who've replied to you.

Reviewing Replies:

  1. Click the "Proposals" folder to display your active proposals.
  2. Click the title of the Proposal you wish to review. The proposal will be opened with the replies listed directly below the project progress bar.
  3. View a specific reply by clicking the "View Reply" link. You'll have the option to "Decline", "Counter" or "Accept" the freelancer's reply. Accepting a reply indicates you want that freelancer to work on the project and you are agreeing to pay them the listed fee. An email alert will be sent to the Freelancer.

Tip: You can view the Freelancer's profile by clicking on their name. This will display the freelancer's career summary and sample clips for you to review. You can then 'Favorite' (Star Button at the top right) the freelancer for future reference.

Declining Replies:

You can decline a reply be clicking the "X" to the right of the "View Reply" option, or by clicking the "Decline" button while viewing the reply itself. This will send an email alert to the freelancer alerting them that their pitch is being declined at this time. You are not required to enter a response or any additional information. Using the decline feature helps freelancers by providing them feedback that their pitch has been reviewed.

Removing your Proposal from the Pitch Board:

After 7 days, your Proposal will automatically be removed from the pitch board. All replies will continue to remain live and available for you to review, accept or decline, but no new responses will come in. If you wish to post your proposal back to the Pitch board, click the "Renew Post" button on the proposal.

If you wish to stop receiving replies for your proposal, Click the "Remove Post" button while viewing your Proposal. This will remove it from the Pitch board, but will maintain the Proposal for you to continue reviewing the existing replies. You can also re-post the same Proposal to the pitch board at a later date.

Deleting your Pitch Board Proposal:

If you've found a freelancer or multiple freelancer to work with, and you've accepted the replies to begin work on the project, you can delete the original Proposal to automatically decline any outstanding, unanswered freelancer replies (this will not affect the projects you have already accepted or countered). Deleting Proposals helps provide feedback to those remaining freelancers. To do so follow these steps:

  1. Click the "Proposals" folder to display your active proposals.
  2. Click the title of the Proposal you wish to review. The proposal will be opened with the replies listed directly below the project progress bar. Be certain to accept any replies you wish to work with.
  3. Click the "Options" button, then select the "Delete" menu option.
